This vehicle is a RHD export IIA based in the republic of Ireland. Little is known about it beyond that fact that it was originally used as a fire tender and had been converted to this role by a company called Sun Engineering. It has since been converted to a standard 3/4 tilt pickup. The gearbox is unusual as it has a single lever to control the high/low range and 4×4 operations rather then the usual two.

The photos below show a very similar vehicle in service with Longford County Council fire brigade. The rear lamps are the same as in the photos above, so this is likely to be the same vehicle. The vehicle also has a “Sun” badge in the same position on the nearside rear panel.
