This Series III was built on a LHD Export six-cylinder utility chassis number, but has every feature of a 1-Ton of the same age and so is included here. ENV axles, 1-Ton gearbox, extended spring hangers etc are all there. It seems Land-Rover were not overly fastidious with chassis numbering, especially for export markets.

The vehicle was used by the Portuguese fire service as a light fire tender. The bottom photo shows the vehicle in-service alongside a number of other interesting machines. It seems the Portuguese were keen on using the 1-Ton as a fire tender.
